Santa Ana – Yoeen Sauseda was killed today when the car she was riding in overturned.
The accident happened at 5:31 a.m. on the southbound 55, north of Dyer Road in Santa Ana. Sauseda was one of four people riding in a Ford Bronco when it overturned. The car was driven by a 69 year old male from Riverside who swerved but ultimately lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. According to officials, tire tread separation on one of the wheels may have been the cause. Sauseda who was seated in the back seat behind the driver and was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the car. She was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana where she succumbed to her injuries.
The other people in the car, according to officials, were all wearing their seatbelts. The driver, Erasmo Molina and the other two passengers, Armando Angeles, 27, and Vanesa Sauseda, 18 were taken to UCI Medical Center with serious injuries but expected to recover.
