LOS ANGELES (July 12, 2014) – Mason Zisette died on Saturday from injuries sustained while he was riding on a double decker bus on Thursday.
Zisette and friends were on the double decker bus celebrating a friend’s birthday on Thursday. The bus, run by Starline Tours, was on the 405 Freeway when it passed by the Arbor Vitae Street overpass around 7:45 p.m. and Zisette was injured.
According to reports, Zisette was standing on the upper level of the double decker bus when he was struck. He was rushed to a local hospital but died of his injuries Saturday evening.
The sixteen year old Manhattan Beach resident was a student at Mira Costa High School where he played on the tennis team.
An investigation is ongoing into this tragic accident to determine liability. Our deepest condolences go out to the Zisette family, his siblings and to his countless friends in this tragic and untimely passing.
