Perris, California – Last Friday, just before midnight, a car accident claimed the life of Robert Washington in a two-vehicle crash, in Perris, Riverside County at the intersection of 4th Street and Navajo Street. Several children were also injured in the collision.
Robert Washington, 54, of Moreno Valley, was driving eastbound in a Ford Taurus when the driver of the other car, a Mazda was traveling westbound The driver of the Mazda had 4 passengers, and according to Riverside County Sheriff investigators, crossed the center line into opposing traffic, and struck the Ford driven by Washington Washington suffered major trauma and was taken by ambulance to Inland Valley Medical Center where he later died.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department indicated that alcohol was not a factor in the collision and police are still investigating.
Update: The driver of the Mazda has been identified as 18 year old Jose Munoz of Perris.
