San Jacinto – On Monday, around 2 p.m., Suzanne Randa of Hemet was killed in a motorcycle accident in Riverside County.

The accident happened on Route 79, north of Gilman Springs Road.

The driver, 69 year old Hemet resident, Thomas Donohoe, lost control of his 2003 Harley Davidson during a left turning curve in the road.
trauma and later died from her wounds.   Sadly, Donohoe did not even have a motorcycle license, only a permit, which prohibits him from having passengers.According to the California Highway Patrol, Donohoe was wearing a certified helmet and only suffered minor injuries, however, his passenger, Randa was wearing a “novelty” helmet which failed to protect her.  She suffered major head trauma.

Motorcycles riders should be sure to wear proper protective gear at all times and helmets that are DOT approved.
