Anaheim – Motorcyclist John Bedard was involved in a crash that took his life on Thursday.
The accident happened on the eastbound 91 freeway (Riverside freeway), west of Interstate 5 in Anaheim. The time of the collision was around 3:15 p.m. in the afternoon. After the accident, the HOV (carpool) and Number 1 and 2 (fast lane and lane next to the fast lane) lanes were temporarily closed after the crash.
According to California Highway Patrol he was involved in a traffic collision while driving his motorcycle however details of the accident are scarce as of yet. Bedard was rushed to UCI Medical Center in the city of Orange where he succumbed to his injuries later in the evening.
Bedard was only 45 years old, a resident of East Helena, Montana.
If the driver of another automobile or truck is deemed to have caused the accident, then the driver and his/her insurance company is liable for the wrongful death of Mr. Bedard.
According to police, no other vehicles were involved. Police report that Bedard accidentally locked his brakes and skidded forward towards slowing traffic, lost control and was ejected.
