Passenger, Michael David Cottler and Driver, Sean Keller, Killed in Joshua Tree Rollover

JOSHUA TREE, RIVERSIDE COUNTY (July 12, 2014) – A rollover accident in Joshua Tree has left two people dead.  Driver, Sean Keller, and passenger, Michael David Cottler were killed on Saturday when the car they were riding in lost control and rolled over.

The accident took place at around 5:00 p.m.  The car was eastbound on Alta Loma Drive when the driver lost control and rolled over, just west of Sunny Vista Road.  Crestline resident, Michael David Cottler was rushed to Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.  He was 37 years old.

The driver was identified as Idaho resident, Sean Keller.  The 21 year old Mountain Home resident died from his injuries at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.  Two other passengers were also in the car but their condition is not yet known.

An investigation into this accident is ongoing.  Witnesses should contact the California Highway Patrol, Morongo Basin Division at 760-366-3707.
