ORANGE (October 17, 2013) – Motorcyclist Juan Zamora Berrera died on Thursday morning after being involved in a collision with a truck in the city of Orange. The collision happened at 8:50 a.m. on the southbound side of Interstate 5 (Santa Ana Freeway), south of Chapman Avenue. Paramedics rushed Juan Berrera to UCI Medical Center but he died shortly after arriving from the blunt force trauma.
Juan Zamora Berrera resided in Long Beach, he recently celebrated his 28th birthday.
The identity of the truck driver has not been released. California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident and will determine if drugs or alcohol played a role. Witnesses should contact the California Highway Patrol at (714) 567-6000.
