Motorcyclist Buddy Clark Dies in Accident vs BMW in Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach – Buddy Clark died on Saturday following a collision with a car.

The accident happened at the intersection of Bolsa Chica Street and Pearce Drive.  Clark was headed southbound on Bolsa Chica a little after 10:00 a.m. on a motorcycle when his motorcycle and an eastbound BMW struck each other.  The vehicles on Bolsa Chica, a major street in Huntington Beach, generally have right of way.

Bolsa Chica Street is a main street that runs through a residential neighborhood in the area where the accident occurred.  The intersection where the accident occurred only had stop signs at Pearce Drive.

Clark was rushed to UCI Medical Center where he later died.  Clark, who had recently celebrated his birthday on March 6th, was only 66 years old.

The driver of the BMW, a 67 year old female, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.  Investigators are calling this a “tragic accident” and do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role.  However, it is important to that in the eyes of personal injury attorney Edmond El Dabe, true “accidents” rarely occur.  In this case, if the driver of the BMW is at fault, it is because she was not driving with reasonable care.

Sometimes, drivers are not able to see motorcyclists unless they take greater care; motorcycles are thinner and lower profile, like pedestrians.

Buddy Clark was a well-known and well-like lawyer in Orange County California.  He will be missed by many, including courtroom staff in his home court in Westminster, California.
