Newberry Springs, CA (October 25, 2013) – A pedestrian versus truck accident has claimed the life of Michael Anthony Hammonds Jr., a resident of Inglewood, California.
Michael Anthony Hammonds was reportedly walking on the northbound highway on Interstate 15, when the truck struck him. I t was not immediately clear what Hammonds was doing on the highway or if he was there because his vehicle broke down. The collision occurred on Intersteta 15, south of Alvord Mountain Road in the Newberry Springs Area.
Michael Anthony Hammonds was declared dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the collision.
“A surprising number of truck accident occur in that area. Truckers often drive long hours while they are tired and as a result, they are not payin attention to road hazards,” Attorney Edmond El Dabe said. “A lawyer should ask that the trucks data recorded be preserved and that the driver turn over his daily driver log.”
