Two Big Rigs Collide Killing One in Buena Park Accident

BUENA PARK (March 19, 2014) – A rear end collision involving two big rigs leaves one driver dead on Wednesday.

A big rig owned by FedEx was stalled on the 91 Freeway at Knott Avenue between the 3rd and 4th lanes when another big rig slammed into its rear.  The driver of the big rig, identified as Osmond Salazar by a local news source, was not in the vehicle at the time.  However, the driver of the big rig which struck the FedEx truck was rushed to UCI Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.  His identity has not been released, although it is known that he was a 59 year old resident of Norwalk.

Two other cars were also involved in this accident, a Saturn and Chevy Suburban.  The drivers of those cars were not critically injured, although the driver of the Saturn was taken to Anaheim’s Western Medical Center for treatment.
