Azusa, California (October 11, 2013) – Another bicyclist has been struck by a car in Southern California, this time in the city of Azusa. The victim of the accident, 18-year-old Andrew Edward Page, was a missionary with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was killed when a car struck his bike. The accident happened just after 4 p.m. Thursday on Cerritos Avenue and Newburgh Street. Azusa Police are indicating that Page may have been riding the wrong way on the on the street. Legally however, this does not excuse the driver of the car from liability for the collision. Andrew Edward Page died a few hour after the collision, while at the USC Hospital. The driver if the car remained at the scene and was not arrested.
Visiting California from Charlotte, North Carolina, Andrew Edward Page had been here since March.
